Can We Live 150 Years?: Your Body Maintenance Handbook

Product Description

The author applies a no-nonsense approach to dieting, exercising, disease treating, and other aspects of everyday life. Our looks, longevity, as well as our physical and mental conditions result from the way we eat, breathe, and take care of all our physical and psychological needs. The question is not limited to nutrition only, as is the case of dieting programs.

This type of book is my favorite to have on hand. In fact I have collected "health / healing" books for many years. This is like advice from a Russian grandmother. The information about a specific health concern may be spread throughout the entire book! NOT READER FRIENDLY as the publisher suggests. Most curious is the author does not reference sources or reasons of advice except to give examples of his patients experience. I am not saying the book is untrue, just does not bring confidence of the remedies. I recommend skip this one and buy the newest version of Prescription for Nutritional Healing instead. -I wish I would have!

When I first bought these book the star rating on these were 5...what is going on??

Mikhail Tomabks books are somthing that everyone should read.

This helps to understand how the body works and how to care for it without the neccesity of medications that build up in your liver.

Take it to heart, it will help you

...any who are complaining about the wording in the book it was translated from Russian and I am assuming whoever translated it needed a bit more education on the English language, but, dont fault the book for that

This book is filled with some of the silliest remedies I have ever seen. The color of your eyes means this, The diameter of your ears means that. This is just plain silly. I wonder if the people who wrote these pos. revies read the same book I did. This is nothing but snake oil and carnival tricks. AVOID!!AVOID!!AVOID!!x150

I am also in agreement with the other negative reviews. I should point out that I have nothing against alternative therapies when (1) backed up by science and (2) practiced with common sense. Do your research and look for several reputable sources to vet out a therapy BEFORE taking your life into your hands. Some alternative medicine is proven, others are quite dangerous or at best ineffective. Recognize when western medicine is the smart choice. NO alternative therapy is going to cure a major illness like cancer, but it may help relieve symptoms and improve quality of life.

With regards to this book: Right at the outset, the author prefaces that "experts can point out flaws of arguments and insufficient accuracy of details". Hows that for a big red flag? I decided to give it a chance though and read about half the book. It is littered with frequent typos (my favorite is kyebrows instead of eyebrows, preceeded immediately by cremn for cream), incorrect grammar, and punctuation errors. This book was apparently never proofed. Open to any page and youll find this.

While some recomendations are sound, albeit common knowldge - breathe properly, dont smoke, eat well, reduce stress - others are ridiculous: the Yakut living to 100 by drinking "structured" water excessively long and frequent fasts food combining, frequent internal cleansing.

Do not buy this book!

interesting through to ridiculous

Ill grant that this book has some interesting information in it but it does not have any footnotes to aid one in finding out where the information was gleaned from. Also things like the simplification of ones character deduced by eye color is simply ..(pg. 146). This book does NOTHING to aid someone who is already experiencing chronic health problems. ..

I bought this book and was really disappointed in it. You are better off with Dr. Hymans books. You can also get better information for the cost of an internet hookup. ...
